Queer City Tour

St. Pauli is world-famous as a harbour district, a hub of entertainment, and a historic red-light area, but it’s also been a vibrant part of trans and queer history. As early as the 1920s, transgender and gender-diverse communities found gathering places here. By the 1950s, certain corners of the district had become queer hotspots, and some still are today.

This tour invites you to explore traces of trans history around the Reeperbahn. Guided by historian Eva Decker, you’ll experience Germany’s most iconic neighbourhood through a queer lens, uncovering stories, people, and places that rarely make it into standard travel guides.

This special tour is offered exclusively to participants of the 6th EPATH Conference on:

Wednesday 3 Sept. 2025,
