Transgender Care within the Current Political Climate: A Public Debate

In collaboration with the Transgender Infopunt and with support from the Ghent City Council, we are pleased to announce an upcoming public event titled: “Transgender Care within the Current Political Climate.” This event is open to a diverse audience and will take place on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the STAM Museum (Bijlokesite), from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

  • 7 PM: Walk-in
  • 7.30 PM: Start public debate
  • 8.30 PM: Reception

The central focus of this event will be a robust discussion on critical issues related to transgender care. Distinguished experts, practitioners, and policy officers will engage in dialogue surrounding various topics: legal protections and rights, access to gender-affirming care, social structures and norms, policy advocacy and change, mental health (toll), etc.

Following the discussion, attendees are invited to a reception where they can continue conversations, network, and engage with fellow participants.

The participants of the summer school are obliged to attend the public event.
