Research on gender diverse people has been historically contentious and has not always been undertaken with the intention of assisting the people being researched. EPATH urges researchers to be respectful of gender diverse people, and therefore has launched a research policy which should serve as a guide for conducting ethical research on transgender and gender-nonconforming persons.
